Venus Williams and Alicia Silverstone have been appointed as brand ambassadors for Vancouver based digital plant-based community PlantX Life, educating consumers on the benefits of following a plant-based lifestyle.
Silverstone, best known for her role in the seminal 90s flick Clueless, is a long-time plant-based activist and wellness advocate.
Williams is a former Number 1-ranked tennis player with seven Grand Slam singles titles and four Olympic gold medals under her belt.

Venus Williams, who took up a plant-based diet after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder almost ten years ago, commented, "I can't tell you how excited I am to be involved as an ambassador and a cheerleader and stakeholder in PlantX. It's the kind of place that I was wishing for in the beginning."
The two stars will work with PlantX on its platform to help educate people about the benefits of being plant-based.
In a livestreamed event broadcast to shareholders, Silverstone spoke about how her decision to adopt a plant-based lifestyle changed her health and led to multiple business opportunities.
“Every one of you who work in this company should be so proud of what you’re doing every day,” Silverstone said. “You are a part of the solution; you are fixing the problem – it’s incredibly powerful.”
Williams said that her journey into the plant-based lifestyle started nearly 10 years ago when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that took away her ability to play professionally. Her sister, Serena Williams, encouraged her to visit a wellness centre in Florida that hosted a three-week, raw vegan food program.
