British fashion designer Molly Goddard has launched a collaboration with UGG, celebrating 'iconic UGG DNA, playing with proportion and colour to strike a balance between playful and elegant'.
Unveiled at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021, UGG’s sheepskin footwear is updated with Goddard’s playful, maximalist aesthetic.

The American footwear brand took to Instagram to share the news, posting '@mollygoddard gives our icon her signature touch, featuring everything you love about the original with added flare'.
Arriving in sea-foam green and burgundy colorways, the Molly Goddard x UGG slipper is a fluffy, flat-soled style made of curly lamb hair. A closed-toe mule features an exaggerated platform heel and a final third style, a boot, applies floral appliqués to UGG’s hero shoe. “We wanted to make something bold and colorful, to play with the UGG DNA,” Goddard said. “The outcome are shoes that are wearable, fun, with a much-needed sense of humor, given the times…and I think still very elegant!”
The designer imagined the Ugg as a complement to her spring 2021 collection of checkerboard knits and tiered ruffle dresses, using the same color palette and sense of proportion on the shoes. As such, slippers brim over with shearling curls and mules are elevated on four-inch platforms. Even the mini Ugg boot, a celebrity favorite, is reimagined with tiny floral details. “Despite all the development work being done over Zoom, they turned out perfectly!” Goddard says.
