Scottish BBC weather presenter, Carol Kirkwood, in partnership with the Scottish Power Networks Green Economy Fund, hosted the ‘Funding a Net Zero’ event at COP26, the Climate Change Change conference held in Glasgow this year.

The event celebrates the success of the 35 ground-breaking projects that SP Energy Networks’ Green Economy Fund has aided over the past three years, and also welcomed others, such as SoulRiders, D&G College and Agile City to share their tales. Carol Kirkwood is taking a stand! This event saw the priorities of the fund, launching green energy skills, and what the funds have done to date being discussed, proudly showing that more than £2 million had been invested in 7 projects, where the fund had focused on the installation of renewable technologies. Renewable energy is not simply a buzz phrase anymore, it now is at the order of the day, with everyone investing in not only the future of the economy, but also the future and longevity of the earth.
