Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has been announced as the latest ambassador for Swiss luxury watch company Hublot, following in the footsteps of fellow sportsmen including Pelé, Usain Bolt, and Kylian Mbappé, and is set to work with the brand to create a performance watch that can be worn during tennis matches.

Novak Djokovic took to Instagram on Monday to break the news of his signing with Swiss watch brand, Hublot. The brand just scored possibly the biggest free agent and the two are already working on a personalized limited-edition watch for the Serbian, as well as his own customized timepiece.

The current world number one commented, "As an athlete driven by the ambition to make history in tennis, I am particularly proud of the opportunity to join the Hublot family, which already boasts athletes who have left their mark on their respective disciplines by becoming legends like Pelé or Usain Bolt. With Hublot, we still have so much to win, together!"

Hublot and the world No. 1 will be working on a high-performance watch that he can wear during matches, something that will be very new for the 34-year-old. He has never been spotted playing a competitive match with the accessory around his wrist, but he's feeling up for the new challenge.

Heading into the Big Apple, his on-court look will supposedly encompass lots of blue and he plans on also wearing Hublot's Big Bang Meca-10 ceramic which will also boast the same color—making for the perfect match, no pun intended.
