Sue Perkins has swapped The Great British Bake Off for a gig as the first UK celebrity to lend her voice to the navigation app Waze this Christmas.
Perkins follows the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Morgan Freeman in voicing directions for the app and said it was a "dream come true" to feature as the first UK celebrity voice on the app.

She commented, "I have been half of the voice of baked goods for seven years, so to now be the exclusive voice of something is like a dream come true. It's fascinating to know that thousands of "Wazers" will download my voice this Christmas and trust me to guide them through the streets of Britain. I'll be the first to get on board and download myself, after all nothing could be more fun than drawing 2016 to a close by sitting in my very own narcissistic echo chamber."
Sue’s directions will alert drivers to upcoming accidents, hazards and other real-time road updates reported by other drivers – delivered in her signature manner.
"Thank you for choosing 'Sure Perkins', I will now be narrating the rest of your life," she says in one clip.
And while Perkins will now be heard in cars around the country, it won’t be too long until she’s back on the box. The 47-year-old is hosting eight-part spelling bee The Big Spell on Sky 1 in January.
