As part of his deal to become a global ambassador for Whoop, Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk has invested in the wearable fitness brand.
Virgil van Dijk uses Whoop to monitor his sleep, recovery, and training to enhance his performance. The 27-year-old Dutch defender credits the wearable technology for helping him recover from an ACL injury he suffered in 2021.
In his capacity as an investor, Virgil van Dijk will provide feedback on product development and offer insight into how to best support athletes.
With athletes such as Olympic legend Michael Phelps, golf champion Rory McIlroy, England soccer player Beth Mead, and rugby star Anthony Watson on their roster of ambassadors, they are forming a strong network of talent.
