A guest capsule from Tremaine Emory with Dior (PARIS:CDI.PA -0.77%) is the most recent collaboration effort to be unveiled as luxury imprints continue to engage the streetwear culture. The inventor of Denim Tears and Kim Jones have worked together to design a full line of clothing and shoes, the latter of which Thibo Denis, the head footwear designer for men at Dior, has just teased.
Tremaine Emory appears to have picked out a low-slung design from the French fashion label and created it in a variety of colorways with various hues, textures, and patterns. Three of the sneakers have suede uppers with alternating striped lateral and medial panels and smoother overlays on the heels and toe boxes. A beige pair with Rastafarian and African American flag-inspired highlights that are evocative of Denim Tears' Converse collaboration from 2020 is lined up alongside a blue pair with notes of yellow stripes, a brown pair with red stripes, and a pair with stripes that are a combination of both colors.
Tremaine Emory has also created a pair that combines Dior's floral insignia and characteristic monogram pattern on the side panel. A Dior bumper panel bearing the stylised address of the Paris Dior flagship store is parked on the underside of the midsoles.
The entire collection was unveiled on December 3, 2022, in front of the Giza Pyramids in Egypt.
