Nigel Mansell is one of Britain's greatest racing drivers, celebrated for his determination, aggressive driving style and remarkable achievements in international motorsport. Born on 8 August 1953 in Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, Mansell became one of Formula One's most popular drivers during the 1980s and early 1990s.

After progressing through junior racing categories, Mansell made his Formula One debut in 1980. He raced for Lotus before enjoying highly successful periods with Williams and Ferrari. His fearless approach to racing and spectacular overtaking manoeuvres earned him a devoted following around the world.

Mansell's finest season came in 1992 when he dominated the Formula One World Championship driving for Williams. Winning nine Grands Prix, he secured the title in commanding fashion and became Britain's first Formula One World Champion since James Hunt.
