Lenskart, an eyewear brand, has launched a campaign called 'The War of Fair Prices' to highlight its wide range of affordable designs. Tanmay Bhat, Puneet Chadha, Devaiah Bopanna, Deep Joshi, and Vishal Dayama conceptualized the ad film, which stars director Karan Johar and the brand's founder Peyush Bansal.
Vasan Bala directed the film, which was produced by Shakun Batra and Jouska Films.
The film begins with a phone call between Karan Johar and Peyush Bansal, during which the former is seen inquiring about Lenskart frame prices. Johar calls the founder from the states, just as Bansal is about to go to bed.
Who, however, would refuse a call from the famous Bollywood director? The advertisement shows Karan Johar being surprised by the low cost of the frames. Johar is taken aback and inquires if the prices are in dollars rather than rupees.
According to Bansal, the cost is in Indian rupees, and the reason for the low prices is that there are no middlemen involved. Karan Johar is not convinced and offers assistance in introducing middlemen because he cannot be seen wearing such low-cost eyeglasses.
Because there are no importers, wholesalers, or distributors, the ad film communicates that Lenskart is able to deliver a wide variety at low prices.
