The sports and gaming exchange FairPlay has signed a long-term relationship with the former South African batsman AB de Villiers to act as its brand ambassador.
Online gaming is quickly assimilating into how people enjoy sport and gaining acceptance on a global scale. Instead of just being spectators in the stands, fans can now feel like active participants in what happens on the field.
“Fair play has always been at the heart of everything I have done, so it feels like a natural fit. We want people to have fun, to be careful and responsible in everything they do and, of course, to play to win,” AB de Villiers said.
AB de Villiers thrived in the South African national team from 2004 till 2018, dominating in all game formats. He also rose to prominence in the Indian Premier League, scoring many memorable runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore, frequently in tandem with his friend and teammate Virat Kohli. He is referred to as "Mr. 360" and is well-liked.
A FairPlay spokesperson said, “We are excited to work alongside ABD and to celebrate the spirit of sport which he represents. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
