After Dinner Speakers: Dr. Caroline Jackson, Jenny Powell, The Cranberries

Caroline Jackson was first elected to the European Parliament as the MEP for Wiltshire in 1984; she was re-elected 1989 and has represented various southwest constituencies since. Caroline has been chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy since 1999 and sits on the Women’s rights committee. Educated at St Hugh's and Nuffield Colleges, Oxford, where she graduated with a Doctorate in History she has held research posts at St Hugh’s and sat as an Oxford City Counsellor. Caroline Jackson is married to Robert Jackson, the MP for Wantage; she is a dedicated and enthusiastic politician with much to say on modern issues of concern.
